Oken's House.

Oken's House is less than 100 yards from the Warwick Arms Hotel. It was the home of Thomas Oken who was, as the plaque on the wall testifies, 'a great benefactor to Warwick'. Oken died in the house in 1573. The house used to be the town's doll museum which unfortunately closed in 2004. However, the house is worth visiting as it is a fine example of a timber-framed building. Thomas Oken is remembered for his charitable actions including the provision of almshouses for Warwick's poorest people in the 16th Century.
